Hotel was lovely, big rooms with excellent facilities: our booking had gone astray in the transfer of ownership and we only got to stay there one night, but they did find us another really good (and cheaper) hotel so the holiday wasn\'t ruined, but probably best to ring to confirm your booking before arrival.

On check out I commented that for a unit that slept 4 people the 2 seater sofa was very uncomfortable. I was told that the original was getting fixed. I would recommend larger more comfortable furniture as replacements.

We were lucky enough to score an apartment on the 22nd floor with amazing views from every window. Very clean, good facilities. Great location. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others. Just don\'t forget to pack your rollerskates.

Overall good experience. Our gas cook top broke down on the first night, but we were moved another (nicer!) unit. One particular reception staff member could do with a bit of a crash course on people skills. She was not very welcoming, nor helpful. Others were fine.

Xanadu is in a superb spot but the furniture in the different rooms is too varied given the high price for rooms, it should all be new and a high standard, the first room we were in had substandard furniture, the second was much better although the windows were filthy dirty

When I booked in I requested a lower floor as I am not too good with heights and having to go up high rises in lifts, when we arrived we were on the 15th floor, I queried this with the receptionist who said that was the only room they had.Unfortunately for us when we were going up to our room we got stuck in the lift so I hope you can imagine how I felt. I am glad we were there for a short time otherwise we would have had to move out as we were very dissappointed with being put up on a higher floor when a lower floor was requested.

I absolutely love staying at Xanadu Main Beach. The location is fanastic for families. Will definately be staying there again.

Disliked: Only dislike was that the blankets in the cupboard were not washed as they still had body hair on them from previous tenants, that was a real turn off.

We had a fantastic time at Xanadu Main beach. We stayed on the 20th floor - awesome views and extremely spacious accommodation. We are already saving up for our next holiday there. Also, the ladies at the front desk were extremely helpful :)

Staff (especially Tracey in the front office) were sensational. OUr 2 bedroom room was very spacious with fantastic views of Main Beach. I wouldn't hesitate to go back. It was fantastic value

Great location, lovely views of the ocean, plenty of space within 7th floor apartment, 2 min walk over to the beach great pools..... only negative was dirty fridge. We are a family of 2 adults and 2 young children. Would definately stay again.

Our stay was great, friendly staff and clean amenities however maintenance needs to be addressed in the rooms and the furniture isnt as 'nice and modern' as it is in the pictures. Could also use a 2nd TV, a plasma would be a great investment. The indoor pool was also on the colder side of warm, not good for young kids. Everything else was beautiful and wonderful, views are breathtaking.

Had a lovely stay despite terrible weather. The resort is great with a fantastic inside pool, great when the weather isn't. The apartment was spacious with great views in a fantastic location, though could do with new blinds, and a good clean. Range hood was filthy, so fortunate we ate out most nights. Could also do with a TV in the main bedroom.

Very nice accommodation. However, I did make one request for a blanket due to the cold snap. The receptionist seemed to be quite put out by my request (I was polite). If you offer \"don\'t hesitate to ask for assistance\" you need to ensure it is followed up.

Reception - wonderful service on check-in, early for room but assisted with luggage storage and a phone when ready.

The apartment we stayed in is in great need of refurbishments. The lounge and outdoor furniture were in a sad state. The walls need a good paint.

As we have friends who own an apartment in the complex and the lenghts they go to to maintain their apartment this apartment in comparison should not be in the rental pool until refurbished. If it is it should be at a discounted rate.

I recommend Xanadu Resort to all. We go every year. The appartments have very modern up to date furniture, clean and best of all you never need to ask or pay extra for an ocean view as all appartments in both towers face the water. This is why we like it and we go up every year and stay at the same resort.

I have been in hospitality industry for more than 11 years. Sometimes a very little thing can bring disatisfaction from customers. This time during my 4 day stay,an extra roll of toilet paper has to be charged. I rather being charge a little more on the room rate other than add on additional charges. The rest, I am very happy to stay in the apartment.

The rooms are not as you see them on the website. Had 4 rooms booked and all were definitely not 4 1/2 star quality as advertised. One room in particular was extremely bad - smell, furnishing, cleanliness (to note the basics) -the room we moved to was better but still not as advertised. Gym & games room need air con, very hot and stuffy and old.
Our request to move 2 of our apartments was dealt with in a very unprofessional manner. I have managed 4 to 5 star hotels for over 16 so assure I am always extremely pleasant when requesting such things. Whatever happened to the customer is always right?? Do what you can to look after them?? Would definitely not stay again as there are MANY great apartments on the Gold Coast where we would normally stay and know we would not be mislead by their advertising.

Apartment was very nice and view of the beach/ocean was great. The only issue I had was that the bathroom tended to become quite smelly either due to dampness and/or plumbing.

I think the gym nends to be upgraded a little as well - particularly the ventillation. It gets very hot as the fans do not work work well.

Our stay was fine but i was a little distressed when i was locked in the bathroom for over an hour because the door handle was broken. Obviously regular maintenance is not done thoroughly. I was very anxious during this time as we were attending a conference that morning and arrived late. Also, if i had not taken my phone into the bathroom no one would have even know that i was in there as i was staying alone. The hotel manager didnt even stay around long enough to offer an apology. Instead, the front desk staff apologised.

Fantastic apartment - had everything we needed, spacious (2bdrm), tidy and well equipped. Excellent location - very close to beach (fabulous views) and shops/restaurants. Reception was expecting us and had everything organised for us including carpark etc. Room was ready even though we were early. Would definitely stay again.

Our week at Xanadu Main Beach was fantastic, and we just loved the apartment, and view! The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the whole online booking etc went so smoothly..it was great!

It was great. The rooms are huge so you feel like you can spread out and relax. The kids had a ball. Being across from the beach was fantastic. The only thing the dust storm came thru when we were there and it would have been nice if they offered to clean the balconey. Friends stayed near by and it was done for them and carpets were cleaned as well.

The apartment was nearly as good as previously but, I gues the disadvantage of going back is that there\'s the risk it\'s not as good. The furniture & TV looked older and more old fashioned and also the lower floor meant the view wasn\'t quite so spectacular ( I asked for high floor). However, these are pretty minor things.
The main issue was to do with an event booked through the \'hotel\'. I\'m not sure where the fault lie but there was miscommunication. I booked a whale watching trip which the organisers had to cancel due to the weather. They said I had to claim the refund from the hotel so we cut short our last day and raced back since the info was the reception shut at 4pm. (I seems its 5pm so we didnt\' need to race). The hotel said they should ahve given the refund. I\'ve had a couple of emails since to say that payment wilol be made to my UK bank account but as at end of last week when I checked,t he refund has not yet come through.

Really enjoyed our stay. great location.

Disliked: car parking process, someone in our spot for most of our stay, had to park on street which was inconvenient with a 94yr old. Need to register peoples licence plates on check in. more towels required.

we with our young daughter absolutely loved our stay at xanadu appartments. we found the service to be both proffessional as well as very friendly and our appartment and all the extras (eg tennis courts, pool, spa, sauna, games-room, gym etc) to be clean and in great condition. we had the best time and would love to go back some day!

The apartment was lovely. It was unseasonally cold when we stayed at Xanadu and we found there were no blankets only the bedcover - we were freezing.

Yes 10 days stay. Lovely location in Main Beach, walking distance to beach and restaurants in Tedder Ave. The unit was very nice but lacked attention to detail with the cleaning. Glass mirrored doors had finger marks on them. The glass doors to the balcony were also finger marks from little children had not been removed. When asked to clean them they only did one set. Backs of the doors around the handles had not been cleaned. General build-up there. Also there was hairs on the tiled floor in the bathroom. On the couch I found a sock under a cushion, not ours!

Liked: Yes. The appearance of the buildings and gardens were immaculate and the public areas also where of a good standard. Yes. The gardens and surrounds including the public areas were immaculate.
Disliked: Cleaning let it down..

Big spacious apartments with amazing views. The full length floor to ceiling windows made you feel like you with on the beach when you were enjoying the comfort of your unit. Very clean, inviting apartments with great facilities.

The apartment was clean but not very well stocked. I had to go out to buy washing up detergent and sponges as there was nothing there to cean up. We had a group staying there and everyone else were provided with these provisions. We also asked about transport to the airport and were told we had to book it ourselves, so were just given a telephone number. Usually someone organises that for you.

Arrived totally exhuaused at 8.30 am after flight from Dubai, Had previously asked for early check in, as would be cehcking out at 5am on day of departure anyway. Our room was vacant, but cleaners hadn\'t arrived yet, so not ready. We were allowed to leave our bags in the store room. We asked where we could change and they said the store room also. it ws stifling hot and far from a glamourous setting. on reflection i think they could have allowed us to use the pool changing rooms or at least toliets area instead. They have no empathy for ho tired we were feeling. When we did manage to check into our room at lunchtime it was amazing. However, I would have thought that you could put balcout blinds on the bedroom windows as the sunrise would come directly through at 5am! Not a problem on the day we had to be up that early but when we needed a lie in it certainly was disturbing! hence rating of 7 instead of 10

my only comments would be that the windows on the balconies had not been cleaned in a long time and the apt was a bit dated in its decor although tastefully and expensively done for its time 10 years ago. THe TV needs to be upgraded as the volume did not work properly but i would come back again..
